The sound isn't very good.
The Cannon is a lot louder in person

Barrel

The Barrel was sent to my company from a person in PA.
It measured around 36 inches long and tapered from 3 inch to 3 3/4 inches in diameter.
The Bore was about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
This Barrel was heavy but machined out really nice.

Its now being turned down to its final size.

This Barrel was part of a WW2 Borfor Cannon.

Its now being threaded 10 threads per inch, about 3 inches of thread.
To turn and thread this end, I had to use a Steady Rest to hold the piece since it was so long.
This steadrest has come in handy more times that I can remember.

I got it finally mounted on a Bullnose live center.

Blueing really helps see how your threading is coming along.

Really nice and smooth thread.

I love the finish on this barrel.

Breech

Here you will see the Breech being turned down, drilled, bored and threaded to receive its barrel.
Taking a picture with a Digital Camera really stops everything.

The Breech has now been drilled and bored out to custom fit its required shell casing.
The shell casing is approximately 1.5 gage.
Yes, thats a 38 calibre shell being used as a primer.

This is now the Barrel side of the Breech.
Its been bored out and ready to be custom threaded to accept its Barrel.

Receiver Assembly

Here you will see the Receiver Assembly being turned, bored, milled and drilled.

The Receiver now has a bore that will not only fit its firing pin but also its firing pin retainer plate.
The marker lines are where I need to put in the Receiver rotating pin and its milled clearance radius for the Receiver Lock-Down Stud.
